Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American singer and actress started by releasing witty raps which addressed sexuality and racial identification. After which she moved to Hollywood her music, she came out with an album of rap songs. Nora Lum, born in Forest Hills Queens to Chinese and Korean immigrants was her first musical exposure. She played the trumpet. The classical, jazz, and hip-hop lessons began when she was in her teens. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was doing Mandarin in Beijing for a short time. After graduating, she began to pursue music as her main focus. After making headlines through the Internet Her single My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually appeared on her album debut Yellow Ranger. This album also featured viral hits such as the body positive Queef or the winking city tour in NYC Bitche$. The latter track was linked into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. Following her success as a singer and author who wrote books, she decided to take on acting roles. Apart from early series such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies like Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018 she scored breakout performances in a variety of prominent films such as Dude ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
