
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English actress as well as a media personality and singer. Since 2007 she has been an adjudicator on the TV talent show competition Britain's Got Talent on ITV. She also hosts the Heart Breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston on weekday mornings. Holden was raised in Portsmouth Hampshire. She spent a lot of her early years in Bishop's Waltham. When she was nine years old she was accepted into the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also on TV in three series of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. Holden was also part of three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan and John Hannah. She co-starred with Bill Nighy and Tom Courtenay in Ready When You Are, Mr. McGill, a comedy-drama by Jack Rosenthal. Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are judges on Britain's Got Talent. She joined the show in 2006.
